Hey guys!
It's been super busy here this week. Lots of projects flying out the door for customers. Not much time to blog. But I do have this very special shabby card to share with all of you today.

I had so much fun creating this card for the JustWordz DT. If you aren't familiar with JustWordz you need to check out their website. They have the cutest sentiment stamps. So many verses and sayings can be made with these sets. And the fonts are just darling!

I hope you all are having a wonderful month so far. Can't believe it's almost Feb!! We have been blessed with warm temps and not allot of snow this year. That's rare for the Mid West.

I just want to give a shout out to my wonderful followers! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me a comment about my work. I really appreciate you taking the time to do that. It makes my day so much brighter!

Hey guys!

Can you believe it is time to start thinking about Valentine's day? Wowzers this year is flying by. We are already 1/2 way done with the school year. Crazy!!

This card is identical to a card I made last year. I loved it so much that I CASED myself. LMBO!! Actually this is my hubby's Valentine. I remember him really liking the card I made so much that I decided to duplicate it. Only the sentiment is different. The sentiment is from JustWordz stamps. It was the perfect size font for the space and with all of the text available in this set of stamps it was a perfect choice.

I have some super wonderful news to share with you all today. My Twinkle, Twinkle card above is being featured on the Melissa Frances blog today! You can only imagine the excitement I had when I found out that my card had been selected for such an honor. This card is extremely special to me. I made it for a friend of mine who had suffered several miscarriages before the birth of her first born. This card was made for her baby shower which she postponed until she was 8 months... just in case. I knew I wanted to create something extra special so I immediately reached for my Melissa Frances papers and embellies. There was no other choice for materials than the soft palette and wonderful detail Melissa Frances products have. I wanted only the best for my sweet friend.

This card remains a favorite of mine.

Hi Guys!
We are finally getting snow here in the Chicagoland area. So much snow that we are under a winter storm advisory. Great day to stay inside and create! Perfect chance for me to use my new Keurig for some hot cocoa. I just love that coffee maker. Don't know what I did with out it!

I hope you all are enjoying your January so far. Things around here are a little hectic to say the least. Lots of deadlines to keep up with. But that means I should have lots to share with all of you real soon.

The card I want to share with you today was made using JustWordz clear stamp set "Party Time". This stamp set is so fun to work with. I love how I can come up with any sentiment I choose! I combined Graphic 45, Prima, SU, and Martha on this card.

Hey gang,

The card I have to share with you today features clear stamps from Just Wordz stamps. These versatile stamps can be mixed and matched for so many sentiment opportunities.

I am really getting into painting the edges of my cards. I love the contrast of a darker base when painted. Black looks real sharp! The papers are all Melissa Frances, ribbon is SU. Graphic 45 Curtain Call

Hey Guys!

How's it going with the holiday last week rush? I hope you're not too crazy busy. Things here are calming down and I am patiently waiting for Christmas... NOT!! Heehee I can not wait to open my gifts! I feel like a little kid. More than that tho... I cannot wait to give mine and see the joy on their faces. 5 more days! Whooo hooo.

The card I am sharing with you today is made using Graphic 45's Curtain Call line. So much fun to work with. But then again anything Graphic 45 is awesome! I have made this card for the challenge over at Frosted Designs. Which is to use ribbon this week. Easy peasy for me! I use ribbon on almost every card I make. It really makes a great touch. So the next time you are looking for the perfect touch for a particular spot... try ribbon.

Hey Guys!!
Hopefully you are all surviving the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. I just finished my shopping today. Phew... does it feel good to be able to say that. There is just something about being done and having everything in the house. Now to wrap... *sigh*

I have some exciting news to share with all of you today... I am going to give it a go and try out for the Paper Crafter’s Library Design Team. Not familiar with Paper Crafter's Library? It's a world of creativity at your finger tips. There are tons of videos on everything and anything craft related. Wanna know how to make something? I bet they have the how to. Not only that, like that isn't enough... but the inspiration of each piece is truly remarkable. I'd love to align myself with such a team. And... you all get to be a part of it!! Starting with this post. I am to showcase 3 projects on my blog that best show off my style. You may remember these. They are some of my faves.

Welcome to the Holidays of 2011!!
We always get a fresh tree. It's been a tradition of ours since we were married to go to the same tree farm every year. They have horse drawn sleigh rides, train rides, miniature horse rides, concession stand with the best hot cocoa in the area, and of course SANTA! It's getting to be so fun now that our son can help Dad cut the tree down. Usually we have snow on the day we go... but not this year. It was so warm!

This is our tree all decked out!

I love my new mantle decorations. All from Pier One. I decided to go all glitter this year.

Love, love, love this wreath on my front door! Also from Pier One. I really wanted the topiary that went with this... but my budget was spent. Hopefully next year!

I wont be having too many posts this month. Sorry... I am maxed out with orders from my business website KW Design Handmade. BUT!! I do have a little well... no... BIG surprise coming up. I am doing a HUGE give~a~way this month to celebrate the season of giving and the fact I have reached over 700 followers. Wowzers guys... that's awesome. Thank you so much! So stay tuned for that. You certainly wont want to miss out on over $150.00 worth, maybe more, of free product!!

Hey everybody!!

I hope you all had a fabulous Turkey day!

It was hectic at my house as I am the one who hosted it this year for my family. This is how the main table looked. All of my china was given as gifts over the years from my MIL. I just picked up the water goblets from an estate sale last month!

Ta Da! Here is my 24lb turkey!!
Yikes I was up at the crack of dawn making the stuffing to put in this bird. But all turned out delish! We had turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, and rolls. Plus pumpkin pie of course!

After this I went black Friday shopping. It was a blast and I picked up some great deals.

Reindeer Food

Hey gang,

I have a super fun project to share with you all. These chunky tubes from A Cherry On Top are filled with reindeer food. The idea is to sprinkle the food on your lawn Christmas Eve and it will sparkle and let the reindeer easily find your house. It's a darling tradition to start with the little ones and maybe not so little ones.

Hi everyone!

How's your day going? Things are good here. I am hosting the big Turkey day this year. I have a 24lb turkey on order. Yikes I'm going to have to get up at 6:00 am to begin cooking. But I love providing such a delicious meal for my family. We always have the traditional fare of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cranberry, rolls, and pumpkin pie! How about you? Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions?

My son is invited to a super cool birthday party this weekend. It's at an indoor BMX racing facility. So I knew I wanted to make a more grown up card. No balloons, bears, or cute stuff for this one. I think it turned out great! Especially due to the JustWordz stamp set called party time! This stamp set is so fun to use. There are words for just about anything dealing with a party.

Mini Christmas Book

Hey bloggers!!
This super yummy mini was made using all Graphic 45 papers. I am loving this Christmas Emporium line of theirs. So you'll be seeing lots of it on my blog this season.

It's always hard to choose what Christmas line to go with every year. With all of the beautiful papers out there it's a wonder I ever decide. But this Graphic 45 line reminded me of my childhood and I just had to have it!

I made this album at a Scrapbook Retreat last weekend. If you ever find yourself in the Chicagoland area or live close by you should really check it out. They have retreats all the time and it's run so well with tons of prizes, make - n - takes, freebies, and food!! It's called Scrapaholic Retreats. I really look forward to going every year.

Peachy Keen Guest Designer-Day 5

Hello everyone!
Well my last day as a Peachy Keen Guest Designer is here.
Thank you all for stopping by my blog and leaving such sweet comments. I really appreciate it! If you would like to see what I have in store for this holiday season just become a follower of my blog and you'll be updated as soon as I post something new.

Today I got to play along in Peachy Keen's Let's Face It Friday Challenge over on their challenge blog. The challenge this Friday is " Swirls of wind remind us of flourishes and whimsy! Make a project that whips up our imagination!!"

This is the project that I came up with. What better way to represent wind than a tree? I have always wanted to make one of these Halloween trees. What a perfect opportunity! These little PKS stamps sure do make it whimsical don't ya think?

The tree branch is from my yard. I spray painted it black. While I waited for it to dry I colored in all of the stamps and made the scallops for them. A few cob webs later... and it's done!

Peachy Keen Guest Designer-Day 4

Hello everyone!
Welcome to day 4 of my Peachy Week as Guest Designer. It has been so fun sharing with you all of my favorite Halloween crafting ideas. It just goes to show you how versatile these Peachy Keen stamps are.

These are called "Creepy Crackers" and they are filled with candy. Simply break the end off to get to the goodies. Guess what the role is from? It's a toilet paper role covered with tissue paper and then patterned paper in the center. Just tape one end of the role, fill with candy, tape the other end, and begin rolling in tissue paper. End with some bows and darling Peachy Keen stamps and you've got yourself a Creepy Cracker!

This orange one is my favorite.
Best part is they are so simple to make but yet turn out just adorable!

Vintage Halloween

Hey bloggers!!

TGIF sooooo glad it's Friday!

My hubs is on vacation next week and we have no plans except to hang out. No have to's, no rushing, just... ahhhhh calm! We took a fabulous vacation to Chicago just 2 months ago. So now this time it's all about relaxing.

The card I have to share with you today was based on 2 things. A challenge over at Paper Therapy and some items given to me by my good friend Karen. I love the vintage feel of this Halloween card. Such fun items to work with. The button on this card is very special to me. It's one of Nanny's buttons and I feel it adds the perfect finishing touch. What are Nanny's buttons you ask? My friend Karen and her Nanny used to go through her Nanny's button collection all the time while Nanny was alive. Karen was left all of Nanny's buttons and she so sweetly shared some of these precious buttons with me. Each one is awaiting the perfect project for it.

Dad's Birthday

Today I have a birthday card for my Dad to share with you all. I made this for another one of Paper Therapy's challenges over the weekend. I love making male cards. It's fun to switch it up a bit and use dark colors, metals and paint!! That's also the thing I love about online crops... it gets me making cards for those upcoming events like birthdays or anniversaries.

Monochromatic Challenge

Hi guys!
Did you all take part in some World Card Making Day crafty goodness? There was a ton to do over at Paper Therapy for the entire weekend. This card was made for their monochromatic challenge. Monochromatic can be challenging... so I took a deep breathe and scavenged through all of my supplies. The thing that caught my eye was this harlequin pattern by Tim Holtz. Everything was based off of using that paper. I knew I wanted to put pearls in between each diamond. It's funny how the first thought I had became the last thing I did on the card. Ha!

Halloween Card Kit

Hi guys!!
It's been awhile since my last post. My computer crashed and would not even boot up into BIOS. Not good I know! Long story short... I lost EVERYTHING! Ended up buying a new PC. Which is running on Windows 7. It just so happens my graphic programs do not run on this new operating system! *Grrrrr* So it's like starting all over from scratch. So bear with me on the updates as I learn my new software.

Let's talk about this adorable Halloween Card Kit! I am in a swap at Paper Therapy where we are to make mini card kits with a Halloween theme. This is mine. It consists of:

2 Patterned Papers
2 Spellbinder Dies (one with BOO)
Orange & White Twine
1 Black Button
3 Sparkly Brads

1 Tag

1 Border Strip

Altered Notebook

Hope you're havin' a great day. The project I have to share with ya today is an altered notebook. It's for my niece who'll be turning 9 next month. She loves to write. So this will be perfect for her.

I used all Melissa Frances papers. The little tags I made out of some MF stickers. I hope she loves it!! These are so fun to make and are such a neat gift to give. I got the notebooks at Menards for .75 cents a piece. Cool!

Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge ~ Ledger/Notebook Paper

Hi guys,
*sigh* This is my last entry as a design team member for Frosted Designs. My term is over with this submission and I must say it makes me a little sad. I have so enjoyed working with all of the girls over there. They are so thoughtful, talented, and very organized which is such a plus, and I feel like I have made some real friends on this 6 month journey. I'm going to miss working with you guys!

But... with that said I will certainly be joining in the challenges. Especially with their new card challenges. Whooo Hooo right up my alley! Thank you Barb for being such a fabulous team leader!

Ok... on to my project!
This challenge is a little bit tricky this week. You must use ledger or notebook paper somewhere on your project. Well I decided to alter a notebook pad. heehee How fun! The idea was given to me by my dear friend Kate. She made a few of these for her family as a gift. And I loved the idea. Not too mention I was struggling with what to do for my project this week. Thanks Kate!!

School is in session here. It's my sons 2nd day of 5th grade. *ugh* when did that happen? He's so nervous that he isn't going to do well. Hello... he did fabulous in 4th grade and so he will do great things this year too! I hope I can jump start his confidence this weekend with a few tasks that he will be great at. Other than that our weekend looks to be pretty calm.

My birthday gifts

Yesterday was my birthday!!
It was a gorgeous day outside the entire day.
I could not have ordered a more perfect birthday.
My two guys spoiled me rotten and gave me this amazing necklace and ring in my birthstone.

We just got back from spending a week in Chicago.
It was pure heaven and I am having withdrawals already.
Best vacation we have ever had.

Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge ~ Animals

It's Friday and time for a challenge over at Frosted Designs.
This week's challenge is the theme "Animals". Your project must have an animal on it somewhere.

For my card I used this cute stamp set from SU. I have been wanting to use this whale for awhile now. I decided to make a baby boy birthday card!! Saying my Nephew is going to be turning 1 soon I'll be saving this card for him.

I used all Melissa Frances papers, and a new item I purchased called Liquid Pearls. They are so cool and add so much dimension to your projects. I got mine from A Cherry On Top!

Hey guys!!
I hope this post finds you all doing well and enjoying your summer. :) I have a baby girl tin to share with all of you today. These tins I make for my clients and are sold on my website KW Design Handmade. The tin holds 24 index cards. Two for each month of babies first year. One card holds a picture and the other a small journaling area.

The inside of the tin is decorated as well.

The top was so fun to stamp. I used crumb cake SU ink and an SU stamp set called Bliss.

How's your summer going?
Did I mention that I went to Archivers for my very first time? Yep... sure did. And it was phenomenal! I went a little crazy with my purchases. Caught myself hyper ventilating a few times. *giggle* It was soooo much fun. So... here is a card made with some of my new goodies.

Have you been beating the heat? I sure hope so. Things are supposed to get a little better temp wise on Wednesday for us. Yay!! This humidity is something else. It's all you can do to breathe. LOL Stay cool!

How's your day goin'? It's totally smokin' hot here today. Good day to stay inside with the a/c and craft! So... that's just what I am doing. Tomorrow is my hubs b~day. Nothing like waiting until the last minute to make a card. *giggle* I just haven't had the time to get in the groove lately. Always being pulled away for this and that. It doesn't help that I have a huge beautiful pool that calls my name. heehee

Hey guys!!
Our AC is fixed and my house is cooling off! Yay!! All we need now is to get our new router and we'll be back in business. Phew... it's been a looong week. But thank goodness we are all fine and things can always be replaced.

This little project is for a party my son is having. It's an ice cream sundae making party!! How fun is that? Just a little get together before school starts. I can hardly wait to see the kids faces when they see all the stuff I am going to put out for them. Heehee

We got hit by lightning....

Oh you guys, I am so super sorry for having not blogged in so long. Our house was struck by lightning and we were off grid for a week!! OMG no TV, Internet, or phone for 8 days!! It took the cable guy 7 hours to get us back up and running. We lost a flat screen TV, PlayStation 3, DVD player, and our router for the computers. Ugh... it's been crazy around here. Now today our air conditioner goes out. And it's 90+ out. We are so super hot and can't get anyone out here because it's Sunday. Anyway I hope to have something for you very soon. Thanks for hanging in there with me!!

Just a quick post today to share with you a thank you I made for my sweet little neighbor. She got our mail and newspaper while we were away for a few days last week. The nail polish is really neat. It's from a store called Del Sol. Everything in the store changes color in the sunlight. Everything! Even the shopping bag they give you. Totally cool store and I knew she would love the polish.

It was fun to place this darling shabby tag on the bag. I used all Melissa Frances product. Paper is from her 5th Avenue line. Stamp is SU!

Altered Frame

This sweet altered frame was a blank canvas when I got it from a friend of mine. Thanks Kate! Kate sent it to me for a challenge. I had to alter whatever she sent me. And to my surprise when I opened the package it was a blank frame to alter. It didn't take me long to figure out what I wanted to do with it.

The tags hanging off with the chandelier drops are all Melissa Frances product. Goodness I love her stuff. This was such a fun project for me and a first at altering frames.

I took so much delight in making the tags for the frame that I decided to make the tags above for a handmade embellies swap I am in. Too cute!!

Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge ~ Journaling Tags

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday challenge over at Frosted Designs.
This Friday the challenge is to use journaling tags somewhere on your project. We are being sponsored this week by Monster Creations. A fabulous place for all and any board books. The circle album I altered for this challenge was supplied by Monster Creations. Let me tell you... this thing is awesome! The chipboard is so super thick and durable that nothing is going to tear this thing. All of the holes were perfectly in place, and I didn't need to sand anything. The edges are all smooth. Wonderful quality!!

This is my first use of journaling tags. The tag pulls out of the handmade pocket. The tag is from Tim Holtz.

This is the second use of journaling tags. I love having one page for nothing but journaling. The pocket is large enough to place concert stubs, programs, etc.

That's it! That's my fabulous chipboard album. I am going to do a video on this and point out certain techniques and product used. So stay tuned for that!

Friday marks another fabulous challenge over at Frosted Designs. The challenge this week is to make a project with the theme of "friendship". My card is a general friendship card that could be used for almost anything. From a simple hello to thanks so much!

I used mostly Melissa Frances products on this card. They are sprinkled all around. It was nice to get back to sewing too. Don't be afraid to make a bold statement with soft colors like I did with my ribbon. It can be very striking!

Hello friends!!

Happy Memorial Day to my fellow Americans. I just wanted to take time out from the festivities today to wish you all a wonderful holiday. I hope yours is filled with family, fun, and some BBQ!! My son and I are patiently waiting to get in our swimming pool for the first time this season. The water temp is right around 73. We wont go in until it hits 75. Otherwise you have blue lips!! LOL Come on sun... just a couple more degrees. Other than that we are hanging out and grilling out hot diggity dogs for dinner. The sun is shining, it's warm, and we have no rain in sight! Yippeee...

This adorable baby tin was made for my cousin. His wife, who is also a Friend of mine, is preggers with their first child. I knew exactly what I wanted to make her. One of my Baby Tins.

As you can see there are labels for the first 12 months of babies life. The tin is filled with 2 cards for each month. One for a picture and one for jotting a few notes.

It's almost like designing 24 cards!! *ugh* But oh so worth it. The shower is this Sunday. I sure hope she loves it!! Thanks for letting me share and for stopping by today.

I decided to create a mailbox and matching tin with a little scrapbook in it as a gift for my Niece's birthday. I added a butterfly to the mailbox on the heart which ended up being the perfect embellie for it. And the tin has the Butterfly Kisses embellie.

I filled the mailbox with all kinds of goodies any 5 year old would love! And made the pull out scrapbook of my son and Niece together the last time we saw them. It turned out so cute!!

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all are having a great weekend. Today marks another challenge over at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. The challenge this week is "girls & swirls". You must include a girl or girls and some swirls on your project. Don't forget to stamp too!

Here is the card I came up with. If you look at the top picture you can see my patterned paper is swirls. Plus I added the swirls in again with the blue under the ribbon. So fun!!

Here is the card I came up with. I wanted the brads to be the focal point. These cute and colorful brads were given to me as a gift from my bestie! I have been dieing to use them and this project was perfect. It was fun to change the papers and sew the edges for a little added detail.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge ~ Buttons, Bling, & Bloom

Hello Girls!!

Today marks the first challenge for me with the Stamptacular Sunday DT.
Actually my project should have been posted yesterday. But I was on spring break vacation and forgot to schedule my post. That's when you know your plate is too full!!

The challenge this week over at SSC is "Buttons, Bling, & Bloom". You must include buttons, some bling, and flowers on your project. Don't forget to stamp too! Here is the fun card I came up with.

I loved working with these colors and this paper. The paper was given to me as a prize by Frost It Pink. I love their online store and shop there often. Shipping is fast and they have the best inventory. But best of all they do a drawing every month from people who have placed an order to win a huge prize package. It's awesome.

Spring Blog Hop

The card I have to share with you all today reminds me of spring flowers. And the sentiment could not be more perfect! The edges were inked first then distressed. I used Tim Holtz paper distresser. I love that thing. It takes a little getting used to so I think that is going to be my next video tutorial.

Fabulous Friday Challenge ~ Recycle

Fabulous Friday Challenge

I am so excited to share with you all my very first challenge with the Frosted Designs DT. This weeks Fabulous Friday challenge is a color challenge. You are to use the photograph above for your inspiration. Aren't these colors fabulous? The picture has me dreaming of spring. With another dump of snow last night anything that reminds me of spring is a warm welcome.

Here is the card I came up with using this weeks colors. Lots of Melissa Frances goodies on here. From the papers to the wing and even the shiny heart. Buttons are from Papertrey Ink, and the rose is from Prima. I am using my new props for my picture. Hope you like it!

Product Inspiration

Hi bloggers!! How is everyone today? Say, I have this fun card to share with all of you today. It's something I worked on last night.

Do you ever just get inspired by the products you use? That's what happened to me with this card. I recently got a new Graphic 45 paper pad called Le' Romantique. Gorgeous set of papers. All I needed to do was run my hands along each paper and I was on fire to get creating. I selected a few of my favorite patterns and got to work. Whola'!

Have you noticed my new props in my pics? I went to some local antique shops last week specifically looking for items as back drops. It was so much fun... gosh all the possibilities. So... I came up with this set of the tea cup and saucer with the doily. The other set is below and has a more rustic feel to it. I'm not sure which one I like better? How about you guys?

Monochromatic Challenge

Hi guys!!

It's a monochromatic challenge this week over at Paper Therapy. The challenge is to create a project using only one color and of course a neutral. I decided to use hues of taupe and my neutral is black.

Monochromatic challenges are easy for me for some reason. ??? You'd think using one color would be hard but really it simplifies everything for me. I just pull everything I have out in that color and get to work.

I have some exciting news to share. I was selected to join the very talented Stamptacular Sunday Design Team. My first challenge begins in April! Stamptacular Sunday Challenges have been around for several years. In fact I was on their very first DT ever! I missed designing for Priscilla and hanging out with the girls. So I am super excited to get started. They have such fun challenges each week and awesome prizes. I am honored to be on this fabulous team!!

Recently I have aligned myself with the 3 DT's that I really wanted to be a part of. And luckily for me I was chosen from the very talented paper crafters world wide. That means that I will be having loads of fabulous projects to share with all of you very soon.

Hi guys!

The card I have to share with you today was made using 90% of new products I got in the mail yesterday. As soon as I saw them I knew I needed to make something right away. The products themselves were my inspiration.

Paper, key, bauble, and bling are all from Prima. Ticket and heart are from Melissa Frances. the ribbonn is a mix of Papertrey Ink and Etsy. Then I went around it all with white acrylic paint by Ranger.

I absolutely love how this turned out and I hope you do too!

Tim Holtzified!!

Hi Guys!!

TGIF!! I hope you all are having a fabulous Friday afternoon. The weekend is here!! Whooo hoooo I have been just dieing to dive into some new Tim Holtz product that I recently bought. Just wasn't feelin' it until today. Boy, I pulled out all the stops on this card. Let me tell you how I got the effects that I wanted.

The white background was stamped in the harlequin pattern with silver metallic acrylic paint by Ranger. I made sure some of the paint was streaked on the stamp. Then I went over the paint with Perfect Pearls from Ranger in bronze. Misted the Perfect Pearls so it stuck to the paint to give it more of an antique look. I then stamped the Paris Tim Holtz stamp in black over all of that.

Next for the wings I used Grungeboard and painted it again in the Ranger metallic paints. This time I used 4 colors to give me the metal look I wanted. Copper, Gold, Black, and Espresso. Again I made sure the paint had the streak marks. I also used Grungeboard for the brackets and painted them in the silver metallic Ranger paint. The rest was just adhering it all together.

This card was made for the Fabulous Friday Challenge over at Frosted Designs. The challenge is to use metal on your project. Thanks for the inspiration Frosted Designs!! It's just what I needed to break out my new supplies and get going.

Hi everyone!! The color challenge this week at CR84FN is to use the colors Teal, Green, and Yellow. I normally wouldn't have thought to do these colors together... but I really like this combo. Here is what i came up with.

This was a fun challenge for me. There is no stamping on this card at all. I may or may not add a sentiment later. We'll see. Things are finally warming up around here and the massive amounts of snow seem to be melting away. I can actually see green grass in my yard! Makes me feel like Spring is on it's way.

You're my cup of...

Hello guys!!

Can you believe the school's are on a 2 hour delay due to temperatures? OMGoodness it is fa~reezing out! I just called time and temp and it's -7 with out the wind chill factored in. Burrrrrr I plan on staying inside today.

Guess what this challenge is for? It's a DT Call challenge at The Shabby Tea Room. In order to apply you must make a project based on the photo above. What a super fun picture that is! Pink, black, and polka dots? Loooove it! Here is the card I came up with.

I knew right away that I wanted to do something with the texture on the tea pot. And these rows of lace border worked out perfectly. I added pearls to dress it up a bit. I mean this is a DT Call right? ~:0) I also knew I wanted the card to be mainly pink with just an accent of the polka dots just like the picture. So I added the sweet polka dot ribbon as my accent. And of course the theme being tea and tea pots hence the stamp I used. I cut the little cup out and popped it up. This card is the perfect tea party card don't you think?

The DT Call goes until the 13th. Please wish me luck!!

Hi guys!

I have another challenge that I worked on yesterday. This one is for The Shabby Tea Room. Once I saw the picture above I knew I had to play this week. OMGoodness does this picture ever inspire me. I love everything about it. I knew I wanted to pull the green polka dots, and lace with pink border out. And that's how I started. Here is how my card ended up.

Can you believe we got another 4-5 inches of snow yesterday on top of our 28"!! Holy cow it looks like Alaska outside and feels like it too. Our temps are dropping to below 0. Burrr... I am so ready for winter to be done. How bout' you?
