Color Challenge

Hey fellow crafters!
I hope those of you that were hit by the winter storm of 2011 are plowed out by now. We live 45 mins from downtown Chicago and we got hit hard!! School's been out for 3 days!! That's a record for around here. We ended up getting roughly 28" of snow. I hate to see things when this all starts to melt.

Well there's a new challenge over at CR84FN. The color challenge is to use Red, Turquoise, and Brown together. Tricky, tricky challenge for me. But that's what I luv about um'. They nudge me to get outside my comfort zone. Here is what I came up with.

I love distressing with ink. Can you see where I did it on the bow? How fun is that? Also adding white ink to the brown cardstock is another favorite technique of mine. So shab~a~licious!!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Don't forget about the Blog Hop I will be in starting this Sat. I'll be offering some more SU goodies for all of you. So see ya then!

Thanks for poppin' in!

This is a little touch of Americana. That ribbon is glorious with all of the other elements.

So where do you put 28 inches of snow when you shovel? We had a combo of precipitation during that storm. Half of my driveway is a skating rink now, not sure when we'll get it back.
