Let The Summer Begin Blog Hop!!

Today Stamptacular Sunday Challenge is hosting a blog hop. "Let the summer begin" is the theme. If you have not come here by way of Joannes blog please go back to the beginning here. You wont want to miss a thing because there are prizes along the way! Summer at my house is filled with swimming, swimming, and more swimming. We live 20 minutes from lake Michigan and we have a pool in our backyard as well. I love to layout in the hot summer sun and let it defrost me from these long cold Chicagoland winters, while my 8 year old son plays in the pool. We are always inviting friends over to swim, play, and BBQ. We live on an acre so there's plenty of room for everyone. On most evenings you'll catch my hubby and I sitting on the front porch in our favorite rockers sharing a cold one. Here are a few pictures of our favorite summer spots at my house.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop! Your next destination is Jilly's Creations.

recent card-maker or not, your projects are always lovely.

we spend our summers in the pool as well...the community pool down the alley from us! my daughter is on the swim team so we are there every morning! we also like to go bowling or to the library when it gets too hot and humid to be outside.

enjoying the hop...i think it must be almost over :(

Hi Kristin,
woah, what a lovely house / yard you have! No pool summers here in Scandinavia, but I don't mind - I'll just stick to my knitting and crafting during the summers ^_^

oh my goodness looks loads of fun I think you should invite more friends over for a pool party it looks great and inviting on such a lovley hot sunny day here.
unfortunately i prefer the shade!
but we do spend half of the time in either wales or the lake district taking long walks, swimming in streams running down from the mountains oh and visiting the local homemade icecream shop that sells over 45 flavours and i do enjoy that it doesn't get dark till much later in the evening.
